# Would you want Vitals on Windows?

Vitals is a Mac app: CPU, memory, disk, network, sensors, sound and Bluetooth in the menu bar, and a Projects tab that knows which dev servers and ports are yours. Enough people have asked for it on Windows that its maker wants a count before deciding. The page has a waitlist form: leave an email if you would use Vitals on Windows.

Joining sends one email with a link to confirm. If Vitals comes to Windows, the list hears the day it is ready. If it does not, the list hears that too. Vitals news in between, and every email has a one-click leave.

## Where this stands

Nothing is built. If it were, the parts that make Vitals Vitals would carry over: apps instead of a wall of processes, insights that say when something has been busy for too long, Projects for the dev servers and ports that are yours, and readouts you arrange yourself. The rest would be built for Windows.

- A count, not a promise. The list is how the decision gets made. There is no build yet, no date, and no "coming soon". If the list says yes, work starts, and the people on it hear first.
- Built for Windows. Not a port. Vitals was built for the Mac menu bar; Windows has a tray, and a Windows version would be built for that.
- One email, either way. If it happens, the list hears the day it is ready. If it does not, the list hears that too.

## What Vitals is on a Mac today

An activity monitor that lives in the menu bar. Every readout can be its own item, a value, a graph or both, arranged the way you want. Behind them a dropdown with the busiest apps, and a window with a tab for each thing the Mac does: CPU, memory, disk, network, sensors, sound, Bluetooth and projects.

### Is Vitals for Windows coming?

Not decided. The page exists to decide it. If enough people sign up, it gets built and the list hears first. If not, the list hears that instead.

### What happens when I join the waitlist?

One email with a link to confirm. After that, Vitals news now and then, and one email when there is an answer about Windows, either way. Every email has a one-click leave.

### Can I run the Mac version on Windows?

No. Vitals reads the Mac's own sensors, processes and audio, and none of that exists on Windows. A Windows version would be a new app built on the same ideas.

### When would it be ready?

There is no date, because there is no build. If it starts, the first email says so, and the second says when it is ready.
