The deal, in plain sentences.

1. Who we are

Vitals is made and sold by Fore Studio, the trading name of Atta Ur Rehman Shah, sole trader. Buying, downloading or using Vitals means you accept these terms. Payments, receipts and VAT are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, whose own terms cover the transaction itself and who will appear on your card statement.

2. The license

One payment buys a permanent license to run Vitals on the number of Macs you paid for: one Mac, two, or a bundle of 5, 10, 25 or 50. After checkout you receive one license key by email; paste it into the app on each Mac and it activates. You can move a license from one Mac to another yourself. The license does not expire, and it includes every future update at no extra cost. We deactivate a key only when the purchase is refunded in full under the refund policy, or charged back.

The license is yours; the software stays ours. You may not resell, redistribute or share license keys, and you may not rebrand or rehost Vitals as your own product.

3. Price and download

The regular price is $29 USD for one Mac. During the launch a limited number of licenses are sold for less, starting at $5 USD. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. There is no free trial: the download link is given to you after payment, and the refund in section 4 is there if Vitals is not for you.

4. Refunds

14 days from your purchase, described fully in the refund policy.

5. Privacy

Vitals reads what your Mac is doing in order to show it to you, and sends none of it anywhere. The privacy page is the complete statement.

6. Quitting and stopping things

Vitals can quit apps and stop processes when you tell it to, and it asks first. What an app does with unsaved work when it is quit or force-quit is up to that app. Stopping the wrong process can lose work; that decision, and its consequences, are yours.

7. Acceptable use

Use Vitals for anything lawful. Do not probe, patch or wrap the app to bypass the license.

8. What we promise, and what we do not

Vitals is provided as it is. We work hard on it and it ships behind a test gate, but we do not warrant that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose. Readings such as temperatures and power come from the hardware and can be approximate. Our total liability to you is capped at what you paid for the license.

9. Changes

If these terms change, the change is posted here with a new effective date. Changes are not retroactive: the terms you bought under keep governing that purchase.
